Once, at a friend's house, a man refuse me hand. He told me not shaking hands with women. I felt insulted. I asked why not shaking hands with women and I asked myself why I got so angry. I said I was a Salafi Muslim and decided to document on this relatively small community in Bosnia. I was astonished to discover that he had ex punks, former drug addicts and young people with Communists. All had been integrated into the Salafi community for different reasons. These young people inspired me to build love in ON THE ROAD. Salafism is a broad movement often called Wahhabism Muslim, a fundamentalist Muslim sect. But the Salafis never refer to themselves as Wahhabis, and may even consider the term as an insult.
